LATEST CHURCH RESPONSE TO COVID-19 OUTBREAK
Dear FPC Pascagoula Family and Friends,
As COVID-19 progresses and alters our way of life, we take refuge in our all-knowing, omnipotent Father who promises never to leave or forsake us. He is in our midst, and we trust His sovereignty in orchestrating our intricate and beautifully redemptive story.
We recognize that fear, worry, and anxiety in this uncertain time may be running high alongside life’s already mounting pressures. We feel it with you, and we’re praying for you. May you feel the very real presence of our good Father. May He provide rest and peace as you cast your anxieties on Him because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
As we focus on God’s good and loving presence, we encourage our church body to live missionally in vocation, neighborhood, and family. Wherever you are you have an opportunity to bring the love of Christ and his presence into that place. We encourage you to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we seek to live out the gospel in very real ways during this time. Our entire ministry staff and Elders are serving with you to meet the needs of the vulnerable and hurting in our church and this community. Remember, find a need and fill it, find a hurt and heal it.
We are working around the clock to proactively meet the spiritual and physical needs of our church family while innovating through the uncharted waters of care and outreach while “socially distanced”. With your well-being as first priority, FPC is providing safe, virtual alternatives to physical gatherings for the weeks ahead. We will be providing devotionals every Tuesday and Thursday with Sunday service online at 10:00 am.
Please consider subscribing to our weekly email list by filling out the request below, and following our Facebook page for pressing announcements, live streams, and opportunities to come together while apart. If you have a need -- or can meet a need -- in this time, please contact us here and we will make sure someone from our pastoral staff or your Deacon is alerted to your needs -- our call is to serve one another.

JESUS' FINAL DAYS
LENTEN SERMON SERIES
Lent is a time when the church seeks to pause and reflect upon Jesus’ journey to the Cross. Starting Sunday, March 1st, FPC will take a break from the Genesis series and will spend the next seven Sundays looking at Jesus’ final week on earth. The events of this week, referred to as the Passion Week, are recorded in the Gospels and still have an impact on our world today.
What did these historical events mean to those in that day and age and how are we to view and relate to those conditions today? We will walk chronologically through different Gospel narratives beginning with “Palm Sunday” and concluding with “Easter Sunday.” As we pause and reflect upon Jesus’ journey to the Cross, we hope that you walk away encouraged, informed, thankful, and more in the image of Christ.
